Frank's Men Hoping To Build Momentum

Rained out

Washed out game means hard work ahead...

Having played the top 2 placed teams in consecutive matches, OCC 3rd XI can expect to face slightly “easier” opposition in the coming weeks. This knowledge, I am sure, will create an expectation of positive results for the captain and selectors.

This is not to say that they can rest on their laurels by any stretch of the imagination. Having had their previous match rained out and also having a week off due to a rescheduled fixture, Frank’s men should be well rested and ready for the tough challenge that presents itself over the next 2 weekends.

The team will, in the next 2 weekends, complete two matches, played Saturday – Saturday and Sunday – Sunday. This situation provides the perfect platform to build huge momentum in a short space of time, since there is now 50 points up for grabs. And Frank will be aiming to scoop up least 45 of those. Their opponents are Avendale and Northerns Goodwood, who both finds themselves in a poor run of form.

There is a lot of cricket to be played by the boys, but I am sure that the coach, N. Bandekar, will be licking his lips, since there is no better practise than match practise.
